Simple homemade ranch seasoning packets to make salad dressing or dip when needed
Ingredients
3 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon dried chives
1½ teaspoons dried tarragon
1 tablespoon lemon pepper
2 tablespoons salt
1½ teaspoons dried oregano
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a spice grinder and buzz to combine.
Separate mix into packets with 1 TBS per packet. Store in a cool dry place. Use within 6 months as spices tend to loose potency as they age.
Notes
To make Ranch Dip (Makes aprox 2 cups) :
Combine 1 packet with 1½ cup sour cream or low fat greek yogurt and ½ cup Mayonnaise. Allow to sit for approx 30 minutes before serving. You can thin mixture with almond milk or water to desired consistency. Store in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
To Make Ranch Dressing (Makes aprox 2 cups)
Combine 1 packet with 1 cup sour cream or greek style yogurt and 2 Tablespoons (up to 1 cup Mayonnaise) thin with water to desired consistency. Store in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
(Using 0% greek yogurt and low fat mayo would make this a FP dip for those following Trim Healthy Mama)
