We love to make these fresh Air fryer corn chips. They make a great addition to family meal times, family get togethers and for game day spreads. Air frying them at home makes these corn chips quick, easy and wahoooo, no more bag of broken chips that you can’t really serve to guests.
Why I Make Air Fryer Corn Chips
Rick and I really enjoy corn chips with a variety of meals. He loves to snack on them with grilled chicken, salsa or made into quick nachos.
Having the ability to only make the amount of chips that we need helps us not to over indulge and I can make them with the corn tortillas that most stores carry.
I made these Sprouted Corn Chips when I was able to find the sprouted corn tortillas. But that isn’t always possible, especially when we are traveling to new places.
About The Air Fryers That I Use
I currently have two air fryers. The oven style is an Instant Omni Plus similar to this one {but an older model} :
The other air fryer that I use is a PowerXL Classic Air Fryer 5.3QT like this one:
Tips For Making Air Fryer Corn Chips
The corn tortillas you need should contain lime in the ingredients. I normally find them with the other tortillas.
I normally, cut my tortillas into six to eight wedges per tortilla. That way we can enjoy more opportunities for that healthy crunch.
Spread the chips out so that there is room between them and the air flows around them well.
If using a roatating basket you can just drop them into the basket and load it into your fryer.
In a drawer style fryer you can put a couple of handfulls into your basket and make sure to shake your basket during the cooking process.
