I’ve been meaning to post this post for a couple of years, but life just kept getting in the way.
With so many recipe ideas bouncing around in my head it just kept getting put on the back burner. There are only so many hours in the day and after breaking my wrist last year I had to allow my hand and wrist to heal properly before attempting to use a decorating bag.
Why These Superfood Sprinkles Are Special
I have struggled with how to color different decorating elements over the holidays but no longer!!
These Superfood Sprinkles are super special because they contain NO artificial dyes, NO sugar and are fun!!
My husband kept going out to the table as they were drying and messing with them. As he tasted one he was like WOW, these taste just like the real thing!
Superfood Powders Are A Game Changer
As we follow our trim healthy lifestyle, I find that new ingredients grace my pantry shelves quite often. Which is the case with Superfood Powders.
I have started to add them to my shakes and smoothies, use them to make these sprinkles, in my baking and oh so much more.
I picked up a few when Trim Healthy Table came out so that I could try the Yuck Yum Bitty, so that I got all the health benefits they provide. And wow was it an awakening.
Superfood powders add trace minerals and vitamins to anything they are added too. These powders last a long time, because you are only using about 1/8 – 1/4 tsp per serving or batch of sprinkles.
Back To The Sprinkles
Using beet powder for a redish pink, butterfly pea tea for the violet blue and spirulina powder for the green sprinkles pictured opened up doors for a rainbow of ideas.
Now these do not have the shine of store bought sprinkles because they do not contain wax but they do add a fun color pop to your cookies, cupcakes and ice creams.
