Banging ‘Bama White BBQ Sauce

I had heard about White BBQ Sauce while watching TV with my husband and I was intrigued. This blog is full of many recipes that were created out of my brain catching an idea and running with it. This Banging ‘Bama White BBQ Sauce is one of them.

What is White BBQ Sauce?

I know it sure doesn’t seem like this should be called BBQ Sauce but it really gets those digestive juices flowing and the black pepper and cayenne and a kick that just can’t be beat.  Added to a base of mayonnaise and yogurt the vinegar and spices just take your meats and vegetables to a new level of YUM!

Rick wasn’t so sure that he would like this Banging ‘Bama White BBQ Sauce as much as he enjoys when I make my A One Balsamic Steak Sauce which is also amazing with food prepared on the grill. You can use either of these as a marinade also and stay on your Trim Healthy Mama Journey.

It’s really sad that there aren’t many sugar free sauces and condiments available from the store, but these homemade sauces only take a small amount of time, no special ingredients and the commitment to stay on plan.

I have an assortment of bottles and jars that I use to store this Banging ‘Bama BBQ Sauce as well as the other condiments that I make at home. Some I’ve picked up at the thrift store and some through Amazon. But you can always use canning jars if the need arises.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup light mayonnaise
  • ¾ cup 0% Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon THM Mineral Salt
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons THM Super Sweet Blend
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl whisk all ingredients until well combined. Cover and allow to sit for 3 hours or over night in the fridge so the flavors can marry.
  2. Use to bast chicken, pork, beef or vegetables for roasting. You can also use as a dipping sauce on the side.

    Sounds intriguing! Will be adding these ingredients to my grocery list. Plan to use on roasted chicken breasts, with a side of pan roasted asparagus!

    Made this tonight as my dipping sauce for grilled shrimp, YUM! I subbed Frank’s Red Hot sauce for the cayenne. It’s terrific. Thank you for posting!
