Marcia DesRosiers says
Sounds delish! I am wondering how you got the calorie count so low – all the things I check say the cream itself would be over 800 calories then the chocolate chips are 112.
Judy says
Marcia, this recipe makes 4 servings? Did you calculate it as 1 serving possibly?
Marcia DesRosiers says
ah yes I had figured 2 servings!! thank you!!
Sandy Johnson says
Could you add some glycerin to this to keep softer?
Judy says
sure but keep it to about 1 TBS maximum 🙂
Sonuahua says
oh yummm !! I will have to make this very soon !! I needed a recipe to help use some of this fresh cream around here!
Sherry says
Do you have to use mineral salt? or can use a different salt. Sea Salt or Himlayan pink salt?
Judy says
The THM mineral salt is Himilayan pink salt 🙂
Stephanie Stebbins says
I have so many extra mason jars! This would be perfect. I’ve never made homemade ice cream before so I’m really excited to try this with the kids. Looks so delicious! Thank you!
Judy says
It is great and my grandkids love doing things like this with me 🙂
Michele says
Sounds delicious! Could sea salt be subbed for the mineral salt? How much sugar would be used in place of the sweetener?
Judy says
you sure can replace with sea salt and you would need to double the sweetener amount if using sugar
Shawna says
Can we make this without the coffee extract? I can’t find any. ??
Also, is there a way to make this without using full fat cream? I have digestive issues and just can’t handle the richness of full fat, but this sounds soooo good and so fun to do. I know my girls would love it.
Judy says
I am not sure if it will work with anything less because it doubles in volume as you shake, but you might try with 1/2 &1/2 and a scoop of whey
Judy says
And you can use vanilla extract instead of the coffee
Celia says
Can I use extra whip whipping cream instead?
Judy says
yes
Emily says
Great, easy, and fun recipe that tastes great!!!!
