Why I am Crazy About These Cozy Cocoa Bombs
These Cozy Cocoa Bombs are a super fun way to enjoy a hot cocoa treat that is on plan and just a bit indulgent for the holiday season and beyond. Snuggle in with a good movie, a warm mug of hot cocoa made with these Cozy Cocoa Bombs and watch those holiday movies we all love.
Let the kids go play out in the snow and the cold to come in and enjoy some cozy hot cocoa to warm back up. According to my boys that is one of their favorite memories while growing up in Michigan. I would have loved to have these handy gems to take with us when we went out snowmobiling or to pick out our Christmas tree.
What Are Cozy Cocoa Bombs?
Cozy Cocoa Bombs are made with this Cozy White Cocoa Mix {THM-S, Sugar Free, Low Carb} encased in a decadent white chocolate shell that is made by melting Lily’s White Chocolate Style Baking Chips and molding them into spheres. I used these Chillz Ice Ball Maker Mold – Black Flexible Silicone Ice Tray – Molds 4 X 4.5cm Round Ice Ball Spheres. I chose these because they are smaller than the ones that you need to fill with marshmallows because honestly none of the recipes for sugarless marshmallows have worked for me.
How To Add Marshmallows to Cozy Cocoa Bombs
If you are going to add Marshmallows like these vegan marshmallows from Dandies you will need a larger mold like this one.
You then warm your milk {I like to use unsweetened almond milk} and place the sphere into your mug and pour the warmed milk into your mug. The warmth from the milk will melt the chocolate layer and release the cocoa mix into your mug. Stir and ENJOY!!
How Cozy Cocoa Bombs Fit into a Trim Healthy Lifestyle
These bombs will be a heavy S treat, so you may want to limit them to 1-2 times a week to avoid a calorie overload.

- 2 ounces Lily's White Chocolate Style Baking Chips (melted)
- ½ teaspoon coconut oil (refined)
- 1 teaspoon Cozy White Cocoa Mix
- In a small microwave safe bowl melt the baking chips with the coconut oil for 30 seconds. Remove and stir until melted and smooth.
- Using a teaspoon place about ½ to 1 tsp of melted chocolate into your mold and work it up the sides with the back of the spoon in a thin layer. Place in refrigerator for 2-3 minutes and then spoon more chocolate into the mold and build up the sides, refrigerating between layers.
- I normally do 2-3 layers so that the edges are strong enough to not collapse when removing the shell from the mold.
- Using a warm plate invert each half shell onto the plate and gently even out the edges.
- Place hot cocoa mix into 1 half of the shell and then invert the top half onto the warm plate and place onto the bottom half gently pressing them together to form a seal. Allow to cool in refrigerator until hardened.
- Drizzle with any leftover melted chocolate.
- Place 1 Cozy cocoa Bomb into a 12 ounce mug.
- Warm 8 Ounces of unsweetened on plan milk until steaming. pour onto the Cozy Cocoa Bomb. Your cocoa bomb will melt under the hot liquid and allow the cocoa mix to "explode" so that you can stir it and enjoy.
