I love french bread pizza and really wanted an on plan version for my Trim Healthy Mama journey. I am super happy with how these turned out. It only takes a few minutes to whip up the batter and bake them off in the oven or your air fryer.

The Tools I Used For This French Bread Pizza
Milk Frother
Using your milk frother to whisk the egg whites with the xanthum and yogurt helps give a small recipe like this one lift. Alternatively, you can whisk by hand but yeah try the frother trick!
Hot Dog Bun Pans
I also used these neat little bread pans that I got from Amazon, but you could use a foil boat if needed. These pans fit perfectly in my Air Fryers.
I do have to cook one at a time in the 3qt fryer and using my Mealthy CrispLid.
The fact that these pans are metal means that the underside of the crust bakes better and a bit crisper than if you are using silicone.
You could also use these to make hoagie rolls or sub buns, but they are a bit large for a hotdog bun.

Air Fryer Tip For Baking Your Pizza
Normally, when I bake breads or anything else in my air fryer, I try to divert some of the heat blast away from the top (so it doesn’t burn).
You can do this one of two ways:
- Covering your pan with foil
- Or by covering with parchment paper and then inverting a rack over the top of the paper to hold it from blowing up into the heat element. (my favorite way)
Tips For Topping Your Pizza
Topping Tip#1
When you use an air fryer, you are going to want to either put your toppings under the cheese so they don’t fly off your pizza.
Topping Tip #2
You can use a toothpick to secure them in place while cooking them up crispy.
I used about 1 1/2 TBS of sugar free pizza sauce, 3 pepperoni slices and about 1 1/2 TBS of cheese on each crust.
