Having a healthy sweetened dried cranberry option on hand will make converting some family favorite recipes much easier.
The bonus being that I don’t have to try and hunt down no sugar added dried cranberries online or in the grocery store.
What You Need To Make Stevia Sweetened Dried Cranberries
- Fresh Cranberries
- Avocado, Coconut or Olive Oil
- THM Gentle Sweet (I use the one without Xylitol)
- An Air Fryer or Oven
- Parchment Paper {optional}
Using Your Air Fryer Oven As a Dehydrator
My Power Air Fryer Oven has a dehydrator function that I have been putting to good use lately. While I know that dried fruits are not the best option for my trim healthy lifestyle, it does help with some recipes.
What is really cool about it is that this function slows the fan down and has a temperature range of 90-170 degrees. Which means I can dry fruits, berries and nuts for my family to snack on.
Can I Do This With A Drawer Style Air Fryer?
The answer to if you can do this with a drawer style air fryer like my NuWave Brio is yes.
You will probably have to do it in batches though because of the size of the basket.
Making Stevia Sweetened Dried Cranberries In The Oven
You can also make these wonderful stevia sweetened dried cranberries in the oven just check the recipe card for how to do it that way.
Can You Dry Whole Cranberries Instead Of Cutting Them In Half?
Yes you can, however you do want the skins to pop before placing whole cranberries in your air fryer or oven, because otherwise they will take twice to three times as long to dry.
Why I Spritz Stevia Sweetened Dried Cranberries With Oil
Spritzing the cranberries before drying them helps the sweetener to adhere to the berries and it helps them to not get overly crisp in the drying process.
I use a Misto oil sprayer for my air frying since it contains no aerosol to damage my racks and baskets.
Did you know that using aerosol cooking sprays make the non stick coating on some air fryer baskets and racks peel over time?

Thank you! I can never find sugar free cranberries at the store. How would you store these, and how long could you store them for? I may have to do half of a recipe.

I have had mine on the counter for about 3 weeks without an issue but in all honesty I would store in the fridge or freezer because they do not have any preservatives to stop them from molding. I use mine up pretty quickly so I would say they would keep for about 6 months in the freezer.
