Making this sugarless version of vanilla baking chips allows me to convert some of our family favorite recipes that have been handed down over the years. Sweetened with your favorite on plan sweetener they are just right for adding to your cookies and cakes.

My Husband helped me with making these Stevia Sweetened Chocolate Chips because he wanted another batch of The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie.
The best part of making your own baking chips is the ability to control how they are sweetened. I did use powdered Erythritol in these but you can use your favorite on plan sweetener.
These vanilla baking chips are Trim Healthy Mama friendly.
How to Make Vanilla Baking Bars
At times I really like to have a baking bar instead of chips. And because I make my skinny chocolate into bar form with this really cool silicone candy bar mold I can make sure that my serving size stays right on track.
You can use the pips (the little squares) to melt the bars down or to make your snack time a bit more fun!
Vanilla Baking Chips or Bars Recipe
- Serves: 8
- Serving size: 2 oz
- Calories: 111
- Fat: 12g
- Sodium: 48mg
- Fiber: 0g
- Protein: 0g
- Cholesterol: 15mg
- 4 ounces cacao butter
- ¼ cup Heavy Cream Powder
- ⅓ cup Erythritol, powdered
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/16 teaspoon THM Mineral Salt
- Melt the cacao butter in the microwave, or on the stove over low heat.
- Whisk in the heavy cream powder,sweetener, vanilla extract and salt
- Pour into molds and chill until set

Is there a substitute for the heavy cream powder? What does the powder do?

I have used protien powder but it makes them chewy .. the heavy cream powder gives them the milk flavor.

has anyone tried spraying the chip mold with Pam in order to facilitate easy popping out of the mold?

I have never had an issue with them not popping out, unless they were too warm. Buy I am sure that would be fine.
