Vanilla Baking Chips or Baking Bars

January 9, 2018 by Judy 10 Comments

These Vanilla Baking Chips are amazing little nuggets of pure pleasure with none of the guilt. I have loved using vanilla baking chips in my cooking for a long time. White chocolate is my favorite of all and has been since my grandma introduced it to us.

This post may contain affiliate links to Amazon or other programs. I do earn a small commission from the sales made through these links; however your price never changes. You can see my Full Disclosure here

Making this sugarless version of vanilla baking chips allows me to convert some of our family favorite recipes that have been handed down over the years. Sweetened with your favorite on plan sweetener they are just right for adding to your cookies and cakes.

If you are new to the blog you may want to check out some of the other varieties of baking chips that I have made.

I found these really cool chocolate chip molds on Amazon.com just before the holidays. I do find them easier to use than the trivets that are listed in some of my older posts.

with a few more in the works.

My Husband helped me with making these Stevia Sweetened Chocolate Chips because he wanted another batch of The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie.

The best part of making your own baking chips is the ability to control how they are sweetened. I did use powdered Erythritol in these but you can use your favorite on plan sweetener.

These vanilla baking chips are Trim Healthy Mama friendly.

How to Make Vanilla Baking Bars

At times I really like to have a baking bar instead of chips. And because I make my skinny chocolate into bar form with this really cool silicone candy bar mold I can make sure that my serving size stays right on track.

You can use the pips (the little squares) to melt the bars down or to make your snack time a bit more fun!

Is there a substitute for the heavy cream powder? What does the powder do?

I have used protien powder but it makes them chewy .. the heavy cream powder gives them the milk flavor.

has anyone tried spraying the chip mold with Pam in order to facilitate easy popping out of the mold?

I have never had an issue with them not popping out, unless they were too warm. Buy I am sure that would be fine.
