The one thing I found when I made these okra poppers is that they are addicting. You can’t just eat one. I was so happy that they did not come out slimey in any way. They are super simple to make and cook up in no time.
Fresh vs Frozen Okra
I have only used fresh okra to make these so if you happen to try them with frozen could you let me know how it turns out in the comments?

How I Cook Okra Poppers In My Air Fryer
I have found that things like these okra poppers cook magnificently in my NuWave Brio Air Fryer.
I really feel like we should have purchased the 6qt Air Fryer instead of the 3qt because of the basket size. that being said I will get on with how I cook these awesome okra poppers.
I added about 1/4 cup of water to the resevoir under my basket (this cuts down on the possiblity of the bacon grease smoking and burning in the bottom of your fryer. Placed my assembled poppers in the basket, set my Air fryer to 360 degress for 15 minutes. I did turn the poppers at about 8 minutes just to make sure that the bacon was cooked through on all sides.
