These Ginger Spice Mini Donuts were inspired by National Donut Day and my desire to stay on plan with Trim Healthy Mama. To date I have lost 55 pounds following this way of eating !! I love the food choices and the freedom that it provides for enjoying life while eating the Trim and Healthy way.
A few months ago I found a Babycakes Mini Donut Maker at Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance. Check those clearance racks it is totally worth it!
These Ginger Spice Mini Donuts are just enough to curb that sweet craving and not give you all of the horrible feelings of guilt, sugar spikes and aches and pains that we associate with their sugar filled counter parts. They contain Ginger and Cinnamon which both help to stabilize your blood sugar… AND they were ready to devour in about 10 minutes from start to finish !! Quick Easy and FUN !!
Making these is easy enough that teens and tweens can do it especially with the help of the donut maker…
We all want our children and grand children to make healthier choices. Introducing them to healthier ingredients and ways to prepare their favorite foods enables them to have the knowledge for a lifetime of health and happiness!
If you aren’t fond of the taste of ginger then by all means pick a Muffin in a Mug Recipe that is your favorite and use that!

your sweetner amounts–isn’t stevia alone way way sweeter than sweet blend? are those proportions really correct? is it the brand of Stevia that requires such a huge amount? please help –gotta make me some donuts!!! thanks in advance, JoAnne
judy says
Pyure Organic Stevia is an All purpose sweetener. It’s a blend of Erythritol and stevia, so the sweetener amounts are correct as writen, Sorry for the confusion 🙂

Just found you a couple days ago…I just love your recipes!! I wanted to let you know that the vanilla is missing from your list of ingredients, how much do you use? Am I right in assuming that you add the cinnamon and ginger to the wet ingredients when you add the other dry ingredients? In the directions you said to add the pysllium but you forgot to write “oat fiber or”. I can’t wait to try this and many more of your recipes!!
Judy says
Thank you so much Mary Beth — I’ll get those errors fixed asap. As for the vanilla I use 1/2 tsp and yes I add the cinnamon and ginger to the wet ingredients at that time.
