This probiotic Roasted Garlic & Chive Dip is a great way to get healthy probiotics into your snack time rituals. It is creamy and slightly tangy and a wonderful dip for fresh non starchy vegetables or spread onto a sandwich or wrap for a tangy twist.

I love how easy this roasted garlic and chive dip came together with the garlic cloves that I had roasted in my air fryer. My husband adores this dip with freshly vut up vegetables like peppers, mushrooms, carrot sticks and radishes, and I love that this helthier version is packed with probiotics from freshly made kefir from the grains that Dawn over at Oh Sweet Mercy sent me.
The Inspiration for Roasted Garlic & Chive Dip
I was finding that kefir was over running my kitchen and trying to figure out something to do with it besides making this Sugar Free Strawberry Kefir Ice Cream. I was doing my weekly refrigerator inventory and figured that I needed to use my roasted garlic cloves and some of the kefir. So out came one of my yogurt strainers. It only took about an hour or so for my kefir to strain out to a soft cheese consistency so you could do this in the fridge overnight really easily!!
I seriously LOVE my yogurt strainers, they make straining my Homemade Yogurt so easy along with straining it and Kefir into cheese that can be spread on was crackers or sandwiches and wraps if you are following Trim Healthy Mama because they are fat free.
I really like the health benefits of fermented foods such as kefir, yogurt and the beautiful beet kavvas (trim healthy table page 461). By getting these healthy foods into my diet I am ensuring that my gut health stays on track while nourishing my body in a Trim & Healthy way. I can’t think of any other way to eat, the food freedom that the Trim healthy Mama plan has introduced is wonderful.
How We Use Roasted Garlic & Chive Dip
Sure it is a great dip, BUT you can use this as a sandwich spread on a turkey sandwich with sprouted grain bread and a bit of spinach, marinate your chicken in it or don’t strain the kefir and have a creamy salad dressing that is flavorful and healthy without a bunch of hassle. The kefir actually helps to tenderize your chicken before cooking. I’m really looking forward to trying some other ways to use kefir in my cooking adventures.
