Air Fryer Chicken Strips {THM S, Low Carb}

These Air Fryer Chicken Strips are a favorite in our home. Crispy fried chicken flavors that pair nicely with some coleslaw, Seasoned Jicama Fries and a big glass of Good Girl Moon Shine from the Trim Healthy Mama.

Personally, we love these air fryer chicken strips. They are so quick and easy to make with chicken tenders or other types of chicken that have been sliced into strips.

Why I Love My Air Fryer

Having cooked in a microwave most of my life sometimes the texture just is not the same as foods that are baked or fried. 

I love my air fryer because it allows me to make quick and easy meals in minutes and gets us away from using the microwave. 

I really like being able to roast vegetables and meats in a shorter period of time than in my conventional oven.

Crispy air fried chicken strips
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds Boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into 1" strips or use chicken tenders)
  • ¼ cup 0% greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups Mama's Bake & Fry Mix
avocado or coconut oil spray
Perforated Parchment Sheets {optional}
Instructions
  1. Prepare your chicken strips.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix Greek Yogurt, garlic powder and onion powder. Place Mama's Bake & Fry Mix into another shallow bowl.
  3. Dredge Chicken strips in greek yogurt mixture then coat with the bake & fry mix.
  4. Line Air fryer basket with parchment and place chicken strips into the basket.
  5. Cook at 360 degrees for 12- 15 minutes turning ½ way for even cooking and browning.
Notes
You can use the Hubby Lovin' coating from the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook in place of Mama's Bake & Fry Mix.

      You can use ghee or coconut oil instead of the yogurt.
