Sugar Free Cinnamon Baking Chips (Dairy Free, THM~S)

February 21, 2016 by Judy 17 Comments

These Cinnamon Baking Chips are a wonderful addition to your baking arsenal.

Disclosure Statement

Tossing a tablespoon of these cinnamon baking chips into your morning muffin in a mug makes it just a bit more special. They work great with the Trim Healthy Holiday Cookies, to make a sweetly spiced treat.

Utilizing super foods like this coconut manna and cinnamon help to keep your metabolism revved and control your blood glucose throughout the day. Did you know that cinnamon raises your internal body temperature as it metabolizes within your body? The natural MCT oils within coconut manna give an extra energy boost and with all of that they TASTE wonderful!

I love to add these cinnamon baking chips to cookies, shakes and muffins. It makes things just a bit more special especially when enjoying a satisfying treat.Cinnamon Baking Chips (Sugar Free, Low Carb, Dairy Free, THM S)

One of the easiest ways I have found to making baking chips is to use a silicone trivet like this one
.

I pour my mixture into it place it in the freezer for until the chips are hard and then they pop right out without a huge mess.cinnamon baking chips in trivet
I also do this with these Stevia Sweetened Chocolate Baking chips and these Peanut Butter Baking Chips.

Having a variety of baking chips that are on plan for Trim Healthy Mama really helps me in my baking adventures. They don’t take up much room in the freezer and they are really great in so many recipes.

I’ve been known to grab a handful of these as a treat when I’m out of skinny chocolate… no they aren’t as “skinny” but they are still yummy and on plan. Adding them to your satisfying pancakes in the morning adds a nice little surprise especially with a bit of on plan syrup.

I am so excited about these! A few years back Hershey’s or nestle or someone came out with cinnamon chips which were so yummy in pancakes. But not healthy in any way and I tried to resist temptation even before THM. But now I can enjoy! I am excited to try this recipe!

Thank you for this recipe! I’m excited to try them! I’m looking for a replacement for Hershey’s cinnamon baking chips. Can I use regular sugar? I’m actually making pumpkin fudge.
    Thanks!

I have never made them with real sugar but if hou do you may need to increase the amount and use confectioners sugar so that they are not gritty

Debbie you sure can use either swerve or xylitol… just make sure that you powder it in a coffee grinder… you would use twice the measurement in the recipe for either of those sweeteners
