This Grilled Romaine Salad is a great way to change-up your salad routine. It’s smokey flavors add depth to the flavor profiles of everything you top your salad with.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring and changing little things within the daily dishes that you serve makes life interesting.
I love salads during the hot summer months they are much lighter and full of all the wonderful vegetables from our garden and the produce section.
The nice part of this Grilled Romaine Salad is that it can be made to fit any of the meal types while following a Trim and Healthy Lifestyle.
I love having mine with grilled chicken, Brenda made hers with crispy bacon bits… I’ve dress it with Ranch, French and Pink Princess Salad dressings.
To prep this salad as an S just spray or drizzle your romaine halves with oil and sprinkle with a little of your seasonings and place them cut side down on the hot grill.
They come out charred and full of flavor!
Chop them up and tah da !! A wonderful base to build your salad.
To Make these to fit an Energizing or Fuel Pull Meal, lightly spray with coconut oil spray Season and Grill, remember to keep your fats and oils within the meal limits according to the Trim Healthy Mama Book.
Even if you aren’t following the Trim Healthy Mama Plan, this is a wonderful salad choice and healthy meal option.
- 1 Romaine Heart
- 2 TBS coconut oil, reduce to 1 tsp for lighter meals
- 1 tsp favorite seasoning
- Extra vegetables, grilled or fresh
- salad dressing
- cut romaine hearts in half, drizzle or spray with oil. Season to taste.
- Place on hot grill until slightly charred.
- Chop and top with your toppings.

Oooh! I never thought about grilling lettuce. May be trying that recipe!
